Covid-19

Hi to my friends and clients!

I've been putting a lot of thought into this and have fought it tooth and nail, but I've finally decided that its time to close the salon while this virus is going around. I will temporarily close starting Tuesday, March 31, and will reopen when deemed safe.

I understand this messes with a lot of already scheduled appointments, and trust me when I say this, I really don't want to cancel but its what is best for the greater population. I will keep a list of guests that are required to cancel and make rescheduling those guests a top priority when I open back up. I have no idea when that will be but I'm praying for no longer than the end of April.

This change has been hard for me, to completely honest. I have no idea what I'm going to do with my time. Hair is my life and working in the salon is truly my passion. I have been brainstorming what I'm supposed to do with self isolation and I've come up with some ideas. I'm going to focus on making quality content for my instagram followers (www.instagram.com/hairbykaylanewman to keep up on what I'm creating). I will also maybe possibly hopefully take this time to organize my house which is way overdue (I'm looking at you, Tupperware drawer AND education cabinet), take the dogs for some walks and hikes, read, stare at a wall for hours, maybe watch paint dry. The possibilities are endless!!

All kidding aside, I am seriously going to miss the salon and all of my amazing clients. Without each and everyone of you, I would not be able to say that I do what I truly love every single day. I haven't had this much time off of work since I started working at 15 years old. I had two jobs in high school and when I started my career in hairdressing. Working gives me a sense of purpose and its what I really enjoy. Yes, hair is my life but who knows, maybe I will finally be discovered and my singing career will finally take off. Again, just kidding-I have the vocal range of the cat fight in my alley.

While I am out of the salon, there are a couple ways you can still support your favorite hairstylist! One way is to purchase a gift card for yourself (to be used at future appointments or for product) or for a friend or family member! Simply follow the link http://hairbykaylanewman.glossgenius.com/gift-cards and input your information. Another way is to purchase product from my Verified Amazon Seller page www.amazon.com/shop/influencer-c2b8dddd . (I'm hoping that works as its still pending approval)

I just want to wrap this wordy message up by saying Thank YOU to each and everyone of my clients. I cherish you all and your continued support as we enter uncharted waters together. All I ask is this : Please, please, please wait for me and DO NOT cut or color your own hair at home!! We are all this together and I assure you, no one will judge your grey hairs or grown out bangs. I'll definitely need to get back to work at the end of all of this.

Thank you again, so much.

xx
